1944
to 1962
Born and raised on a 150 acre dairy farm in Ohio.
Graduated from High School the 3rd in class of 40

1963
to 1968
Secured a degree in auto and diesel mechanics from Nashville
auto-diesel college in Nashville, TN. Worked at various
jobs and developed various small business ventures including
auto-truck mechanics, apple and peach farming, industrial/automotive
scrap metal, and light freight hauling.
1969
to 1976
Developed and marketed on both, on a national and international
basis, a product line of asphalt maintenance machinery including
hydraulic operated self-propelled, sealer/slurry mixing
and storage tanks with capacities of from 150 to 10,000
gallons, a diesel powered, hydrostatic dual-drum-driven,
articulated asphalt roller and a high quality asphalt paver
that resulted in the issuance, of a U.S. Patent. These products
were sold under the Lay-Mor trade name both direct to end
users and through dealers throughout the U.S. and world.
The product line was sold to Ray-Go Manufacturing, which
was then the sold to Caterpillar. The paver became the Cat
model AP-200 paver.
1977 to 1979
Developed and marketed, throughout the U.S., through a dealer
network of approximately 70 dealers, a line of articulated
6 wheel articulated motor graders ranging from 30 H.P. to
60 H.P. These products were sold under the Blade-Mor trade
name. This product line was then sold to the Gehl Corporation,
an international farm equipment manufacturer. Gehl then
sold the product to Alitec Company who in turn has sold
this product to Pavement Services, Inc., who is currently
manufacturing the product under P.S.I. name.
1980
to 1984
Pursued various specific projects as product manager on
a consulting basis with various manufacturers including,
asphalt maintenance machinery, vacuum truck mounted sweepers,
and water stoves.
1985
to 1994
Developed a complete line of Rotary Broom pavement sweepers
from 8 H.P. walk-behind models to 37 H.P. Diesel powered
self-propelled ride-on models with patents being granted.
The product was marketed under the Lay-Mor trade name utilizing
a 40 man national sales team and grew to dominate the market
for these products in the construction equipment rental
industry over a (8) eight year period of time.
Included with the sweeper product line was a totally new
concept for a compact motor grader utilizing a 3 wheel,
all-wheel-drive, design. This grader, in keeping with the
technological advances of the industry, also has full laser
operation capabilities.
1994
to 1999
In October of 1994 the entire product line was sold to Waldon
Inc., a wholly owned company of the Celstar Corporation.
Waldon, in addition to retaining their own in-house factory
marketing team, elected to also retain the original Lay-Mor
marketing people to continue further market expansion of
the Lay-Mor products.
In December of 1994 – formed B.F.E. Inc. and began reconditioning
small asphalt paving equipment, building a business to approximately
$5,000,000.00 in annual sales, gaining additional new equipment
distributorships with various manufacturing of roller, pavers,
and small motor graders.
1999 to 2001
In August of 1999, formed Asphalt Paving Equipment, L.L.C.
to handle all sales of the new equipment lines and reconditioned
paving equipment.
The L.L.C. consequently purchased all of the equipment inventory
from B.F.E., Inc.. B.F.E., Inc then became the transportation
entity for the L.L.C. to insure ground to ground delivery
and pick-up of machinery.
In November of 1999, after completion of a non-compete agreement
with Waldo, engaged into R. & D. project to develop
an up-dated version of a high quality, 3-wheel, tow- able
sweeper for the Terramite Corporation, specificially for
sale to their clients in the U.S. Rental Industry.
In 1999 procured a proto-type development and an excluxive
marketing agreement from an investment company for an entire
asphalt maintenance product line to be marketed through
and in conjunction with the new and reconditioned paving
equipment already being marketed through the L.L.C.
In 2000, set-up an additional retain sales yard in Greenville,
S.C. & a west coast sales representative working Out
of Modesto, CA.
2001 TO 2004
In 2001 formed Anders Mfg. L.L.C. to design and manufacture
a pavement maintenance product line. The Anders product
has been well accepted and is distributed exclusively through
Asphalt Paving Equipment, L.L.C.
